I had moved from Iowa to Ireland and was doing some touring in the countryside when I came across the ‘World Ploughing Championships’ in the small Irish town of Carlow. I started walking down one of the rows and coincidentally met some fellow Iowans who were competing in it. They were from Wall Lake, Iowa and after talking awhile I discovered they knew my two old roommates from Iowa State University. It was such an amazing coincidence—yet another ‘small world incident’! I asked them to tell my old friends ‘hi’ for me from Ireland.
